ECOSSE: the Edinburgh Collaborative in Subsurface Science and Engineering

ECOSSE is one of five Joint Research Institutes (JRIs) in the Scottish Funding Council supported Edinburgh Research Partnership of the University of Edinburgh, Heriot-Watt University. ECOSSE comprises internationally recognised research at Heriot-Watt University and the University of Edinburgh, together with the British Geological Survey: this represents strategic collaboration for Scotland to enhancing its existing strong contribution in subsurface research and education. Carbon storage has been identified as one of the research issues that the partnership established in the ECOSSE is addressing.
