The Institute of Petroleum Engineering (IPE) is a specialised centre in teaching, training and research with the largest PE research programme in the UK. Founded in 1975 and based in the beautiful city of Edinburgh, IPE has expanded to the far reaches of Scotland in the Orkney Islands, and internationally, into the Middle East & Asia through its Approved Learning Partnerships.

ICIT - Orkney Campus ICIT carries out advanced research, postgraduate training and consultancy in marine resource management and related issues.
